X-treme Squads is a special playlist mode in Fall Guys.
It is a time-limited show, with the first instance running from 9 December 2021.
Additional Information[ | ]
X-treme Squads is a Squad-based Limited-Time Show that focuses on mostly the RACE rounds. However, there is a twist: all checkpoints are removed, and falling off course results in an elimination, similar to Slime Climb and The Slimescraper. This specific trait is shared by X-treme Solos and X-treme Party.
Some of the races are excluded: Door Dash, Hit Parade, Short Circuit, Speed Circuit, and Wall Guys are excluded due to their lack of gaps where the player can fall. Dizzy Heights, Puzzle Path, and Track Attack are excluded, likely due to their small presence of gaps. Ski Fall is excluded due to not being a traditional Race round, and having to rely on respawns. Fruit Chute, Tip Toe, and Starchart are excluded, likely because of how extremely easy it is to fall off course on them.

- Full Tilt was removed before the playlist commenced, then eventually reintroduced on 10 December 2021.

Notes[ | ]
- Inexplicably, Roll Off can be selected with more than 10 players; any additional players will overlap on the starting spawns.
- This has been fixed on 10 December 2021.
- Some races are bugged and still feature respawns occasionally in this mode. At least Party Promenade X, Gate Crash X and Speed Slider X are noted to have players respawning after falling off.
- This is no longer the case as of Season 4.
- However, as of the Summer Breeze Update, Lily Leapers X can have respawns.
- This is no longer the case as of Season 4.
- All Season 6 (Legacy) rounds in this playlist are affected by the premature ending bug; for more details, see here.
- Medal colours in this mode do not follow the normal rules; players from a qualifying squad that were eliminated in a round are more likely to get better medals due to the game treating the diminished time alive as their qualification time, which is very likely to be faster than the first player to actually qualify from the round. Cases where the player that actually finishes the race first and gets the gold medal are still possible; just comparatively rarer.
- This is similar to the mechanic that determines which player's celebration gets played after winning from a slime-based final; for details, see here.
- This show, like all other Squad modes since Season 6 (Legacy), is susceptible to a bug where all remaining teams will win if someone disconnects/leaves the game during the final. Again, for more details, see here.
- This is no longer the case as of Season 1.
Trivia[ | ]
- As of Season 1, this show got renamed from "X-treme Squads" to "X-treme Squads Show".
- This change has been reverted as of Season 4.
