Treetop Tumble is one of the rounds in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. This round is a race and was first introduced in Season 5 (Legacy).

Course Description[ | ]

Standard version[ | ]

Treetop Tumble is a starter race round with a heavy focus on branching paths. It consists of several obstacles that were introduced in Season 5 (Legacy).

The first section of the course immediately features a branching path, giving players the option to either dodge Rotating Hammers on Slime or climb upwards on Spinning Plates while avoiding Expanding Frogs.

The bottom floor of the second section consists of water and several circular platforms with expanding frogs, ending with a series of donut bumpers moving in a circular pattern on an incline. Both sides of the bottom floor feature half of a spinning plate. The top floor consists of several lily pads, some of which move, ending with two spinning plates that lead into slime slides back down.

Taking the S-shaped bridge route.

The paths converge at the beginning of the third section, but not for long. The top floor consists of an S-shaped bridge, featuring rotating wheels with donut bumpers to jump over and expanding frogs that can push you off. Alternatively, players can cross a Beam with Fans, which is faster but more difficult. Should the player be knocked off the bridge, they'll fall into a large pool of water, containing lily pads and cannons that shoot balls.

If the player successfully crosses the bridge, they'll have the chance to cross a pair of Log Swings in the fourth section. Otherwise (or if they fall off of the log swing), they'll need to avoid a pair of Rhinos and reach one of two Blizzard Fans to reach a higher platform.

The fifth and final section contains a set of slime slides arranged in an X shape. At the point where the slides converge, there is a spinning plate, with donut bumpers moving around its perimeter and a totem pole in the center. Alternatively, players can use a pair of large lily pads to bounce to the finish, though an expanding frog resting on top of the totem pole may prevent them from doing so if timed poorly.

Alternate versions[ | ]

Starting from the Season 5.1 (Legacy) update, the following variants may appear:[1][2]

  • In the first section, the hammers may be replaced by moving donut bumpers.
  • The expanding frogs on the spinners may be replaced with Rotating Beams instead.
  • The spinning plates and expanding frogs may be replaced with lily pads instead
  • In the second section, 4 of the expanding frogs may be replaced by blizzard fans.
  • The entire expanding frog section may be surrounded in a low-Gravity Zone.
  • The smaller lily pads in the second section may be removed.
  • A pair of Big Yeetus may be present on both sides of the bottom floor of the second section.
  • A Big Yeetus may be present on the top floor of the second section following the lily pads.
  • The rotating donut bumpers may rotate the opposite direction.
  • The donut bumpers in the third section may be replaced by blizzard fans.
  • The bridge in the third section may contain some small lily pads.
  • There may be additional lily pads in the pool of water in the third section.
  • The spawners may shoot fruits instead.
  • The log swings may be far from each other, converging only in the middle of the path.
  • There may be two blizzard fans blowing opposite to the player in the rhino area. These periodically turn on and off.
  • A sherbert may appear between the rhinos.
  • At the very start of the final section before the crossing slime slides, there may be Slingus Flinguses.

Starting from Season 3, the following variants may appear:

  • First section: the expanding frogs on spinners may be removed.
  • Second section: the amount of donut bumpers may be reduced.
  • Fourth section: there may only be one rhino.

Bots[ | ]

As of 7 April 2022, Treetop Tumble is one of the few rounds that can be selected should the lobby be filled with bots (which were introduced in the UI Update).

Course Strategy[ | ]

In the first section, take the middle path. The spinning plates will take a long time to cross and wait for the frogs to deflate. Even though you might get knocked by the hammers, it's a safer and faster route.

In the next section, if you take the water route, just swim without going towards the frogs. In the middle, there is a land platform with a bamboo stick that doesn't inflate. Jump on it and continue swimming. If you take the lily pads route, try to set the camera to a bottom view so you know where you are landing on.

There are 2 methods for crossing the donut bumper section:

  • Crossing the first part and moving in the circular direction to the last part
  • Crossing all the donut bumpers (slower but safer)

If you want a faster route, follow the first method (as a skilled player). If you want to take things easy, take the second route based on your skills.

In the next section with the beams, bumpers, and water, you can take either of those but the route with the beam with fans and spinning bumpers are for skilled players so for a new player or a player who is not skilled is recommended to take the bottom route. However, it is slower than the top routes but remember, simplicity is the key!

Avoid the charging rhinos and go in a different direction they are going. That's faster than the Log route.

In the final section, if you are taking the bouncing lily pad route, wait for the frog at the top to deflate, and bounce to the next lily pad before the frog inflates again. If you are taking the slime slides, be aware of the donut bumpers and make sure they are not clearing the entrance to the last slime slides.

Alternate versions[ | ]

  • The moving donut bumpers make the lower section less crowded, as they are much smaller than the hammers, should you choose to take the lower path.
  • Jump over the spinning beams while adjusting your trajectory towards the center of the disk, so you don't fall off of it.
  • If the plates and frogs are replaced by lily pads, simply hop from one to the next, diving early if necessary to save time.
  • Should you fall down on the lower path, it is possible to take one of the blizzard fans to get back up to the lily pad area. Jump before you ride the fan for an extra boost!
  • The low gravity zone aids players in remaining outside of the water, thus negating its slowing effect.
  • The removal of the smaller lily pads won't do much to deter players, as long as they jump from lily pad to lily pad and dive whenever they need an extra boost.
  • A well timed Yeetus on the water section of the lower path can carry players up to the upper section just before the slime slides. To use it properly, jump in front of the hammer and angle your trajectory towards the center of the course.
  • A well timed Yeetus just before the slime slides can bypass the entire section, leading players to the point where the upper and lower paths converge. To use it properly, try to get hit by it as it is on its upwards arc.
  • Move along (not against) the donut bumpers to avoid getting hit by them, regardless of direction.
  • Despite their size, the blizzard fans by the bridges are surprisingly weak, meaning it is possible to remain on the bridge if one properly angles their run to go against the wind.
  • The frogs on the bridge are rearranged for the small lily pad variant, meaning they block the entire path when inflated, effectively requiring players to use the small lily pads to jump over them if it is the case.
  • The extra lily pads in the second water section may prove helpful by aiding players in avoiding the incoming projectiles shot from the cannons.
  • The fruit shot by the cannon won't roll as far, but they have far less predictable movement. Just try to leave the section as soon as possible, either by constantly jumping in the water or by using the lily pads.
  • If the log swings are synchronized in the middle, simply ride the first one on one of the edges and run along its surface. By the time you reach the other end, they should be aligned in the middle of the course. Keep running on top of them to reach the other side.
  • Pay attention to the blizzard fans mounted on the wall in the back of the rhino arena. Either run along the edges of the arena to avoid them completely or run a more straightforward path to the end of the arena if the fan is off, quickly moving out of the way if it turns on.
  • Upon getting off the log swing (if taking the upper path) or a blizzard fan (if taking the lower path) pay attention to where you're landing as there may be slingus flinguses that can flip you back down into the rhino arena.

Main article: X-treme Solo Show

Trust no one. There are multiple spots to fall off here:

  • At the start, if you're taking the side paths to the higher level, take care that you don't get knocked off the sides of the map.
  • If taking the lower donut bumper section, these can knock you off the sides. Take it slowly if necessary and watch out for grabs here.
  • While you can usually shrug off a rhino knocking you off the sides in normal playlists, here you have to be absolutely afraid of them.
  • In the final stretch, time it carefully if you are looking to bounce off the lilypads, in order to avoid the frog. If you are taking the slides, watch out for the bumpers on the spinning disc, then carefully jump onto the slides (or the second lilypad) and reach the finish.

Final Variant[ | ]

A Final type variant was introduced in the X-treme Party playlist on 28 March 2023. In this variant, all players that reach the finish will win.

Known Bugs[ | ]

Variation overlapping*

At some point from Season 6.3 (Legacy), The additional lily pad variant in the pool of water may stack with the initial lily pad arrangement in the standard version, resulting in a lot of lily pads in the water. (This is most likely a bug.)

*This name is a conjectural name and has not been somewhat uniformly agreed upon.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The loading screen image for Treetop Tumble features floating rotating hammers spinning on horizontal axles. This is not seen in-game. Instead, the level features hammers that rotate around a vertical axle and are anchored to the ground.
