MT reusing the same season title is very annoying. We will likely have to rename the old seasons at some point (to e.g. "Season 1 (Legacy)", like on the Rocket League Wiki), but it will be lot of work as any reference on any page will need to be replaced.
Haha, thanks! I actually went looking for one, and I couldn't find it in the sea of templates. Thanks for giving me the disambig template!
Paid vs Free[]
Tried to add the paid/free tiers into the season pass table as a new column to the rightmost; couldn't quite get the new column to work for some reason. Any help please? K3W3L (talk) 09:54, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
I don't see why Season 1 2020 needs to be called (legacy) when it should just be called Season 1 since S1:FFA already has a name

There are multiple reasons not to include the nickname in the page titles and call old seasons "(Legacy)" (some more or less significant, but significant enough in total).
- The nickname "Free For All" is nowhere mentioned in-game (as with any other nickname before it). Its just called "Season 1" in-game => Result: Most players will search for "Season 1" and end on the wrong page (If we would rename "Season 1 (Legacy)" back to "Season 1")
- Its the first time MT uses a Season nickname so heavily in marketing and there is no guarantee that they do so in future seasons. If they are not heavily used in marketing, then not many will be able to understand the difference.
- Previous seasons also had nicknames, but these were so insignificant that a lot of players do not know they existed, because they were only used on the Fall Guys Website and nowhere else, not even in trailers.
- Giving all old seasons a constant naming with "(Legacy)" makes it way easier to get the difference.
- Once we are at e.g. "Season 9", you can not expect everyone (especially new players) to remember every single nickname of all previous seasons to be able to understand the differences or to be able to link to the correct wiki page.
- There is always the risk that MT tries to be funny again and names a season like 3.5 "stop with the yeets name it anything else just don't include the word yeet please im begging you".
- Its consistent with what the the Rocket League Wiki did once Epic Games had reset the seasons of Rocket League.
- Links are shorter without the nickname and therefor wiki pages get less bloated by mentioning a season.
- The job is not done by simply renaming this page. Any page that mentions this season needs to be edited. There are roughly around 500 mentions per Season. Even tho I automated the renaming of old Seasons to include "(Legacy)", it took multiple hours to change and review it all.

The Season 1 nickname is mentioned on the page itself and other season nicknames are now in infoboxes and the overview. That should be enough.
