The Survival Update, also known as the 10.8 update, was a major update released on 28 February 2024. It proceeded the Shapes and Stickers Update was succeeded by the Fall Forever Update on 7 May 2024.

This update added SURVIVAL as a game mode to Fall Guys Creative, alongside two new power-ups, carriables and more to Fall Guys Creative, including a new Volcano Skybox. It also added the ability to rate a level by liking or disliking them.

The following creative rounds have been added as a part of the Survival Showdown Show on 28 February 2024 during the Survival Update:

Vault Changes

The following rounds were previously available during the Shapes and Stickers Update and have been vaulted during the Survival Update:

Changes to Fall Guys Creative

The following additions and changes were made in Creative during the Survival Update:

• The SURVIVAL Game Mode was added, players will have to survive for a specific period of time and not fall down to the slime and be eliminated. Whether it means jumping over objects, avoiding obstacles or fighting other players using Power-Ups and Carriables.

• Added Individual Spawn Points to the Objects Tab exclusively for the Survival Game Mode.

• New objects were also added to the Objects Tab, such as Hex-A-Tiles, Respawn Zones and Elimination Zones.

• Two New Power-Ups were added to the Game and in the Power-Up Spawner, those being Party Crasher which allows players to throw small explosive rhinos that detonate on proximity and knock back other players, and Sneaky Bean which allows players to go invisible for a specific amount of time, similar to how it works on Invisibeans rounds.

• Blast Balls were added to the Carry Object Spawner

• Liking and Disliking systems were added, which allows players to rate creative rounds.

• The Volcano Skybox was added to the Skybox Selector in the Level Rules.

Miscellaneous Changes

• The Show Selector was separated into three new different sections: Recommended, Compete, and Team Games.
  • Recommended includes: Solos Chill, Survival Shuffle, and multi-winner shows (varies).
  • Compete includes: Solos, Limited-Time Shows and other shows where you compete to be the last bean standing.
  • Team Games includes: Squads, Duosand possibly other shows where TEAM Games are present.
    • However, Limited-Time Shows, like Fall Ball Cup, Volleyfall Tournament, Squad Celebration, Classic Knockout, Duos Festival, etc., which contain, or only consist of TEAM Games, are featured in the Compete Section, like the rest of Special Shows, rather than in this section.
• The User Interface for Creative Round Loading screens and Reward Screens has been slightly modified.
• In the Item Shop, a strange "Gift" icon appeared on multiple items, it's unknown on why this has happened, and it has been removed as of the 10.8.1 update.

Notes

• The Update was announced one day before its release, including a blogpost that was released alongside the announcement.
• This is the third, and final update to not unvault any rounds, since Fall Forever Update started a concept that is similar to unvaulting.
• This is the first update in the post-seasonal era to introduce a new original skybox, being the Volcano skybox.
• This is the first update since Season 3 to introduce new survival rounds.
• The Blast Balls in Blast Ball and Blastlantis are now much more powerful as of The Survival Update, it's unlikely if this is a bug or is intended, as their power is the same as the Blast Balls in Fall Guys Creative.
• As of the start of The Survival Update, playing Creative Survival Rounds in Customs alone will result in an instant qualification, meaning you have to play them with other players.
• This was the longest post seasonal update, being also longer than Season 1 (Legacy), Season 2 (Legacy) and Season 2.
