“ | On or off? Pixel Painters has you hopping on tiles to spell out the correct patterns. You’ll need more than a basic horoscope understanding to get the best of this one! | „ |

Pixel Painters is one of the levels in Fall Guys. It is a LOGIC level and was first introduced in Season 2. It was first revealed in a blog on 12 September 2022.[1]
Course description[]
Pixel Painters is divided into eight small arenas, each of which is occupied by a single squad. Each arena's screen displays a 7x7 pixel image that the squad must copy. Walking onto one of the floor tiles turns them on and off. Successfully copying the image causes the floor tiles to flash briefly before clearing the floor and displaying a new image on the screen. Squads must copy five images to qualify.
Course strategy[]
Being in a party with a group of friends is highly recommended for this level. Being able to communicate with your team is a significant advantage, which is nearly impossible when playing in a squad of random players. This isn't strictly necessary though; it is possible to qualify from this round even without verbal communication as long as you and your team know what to do.
Memorizing the pattern on the screen, rather than referring to the screen before stepping on each pixel, will significantly increase the speed at which you complete the pictures.
Take some time to practice and see the furthest tile you can reach with a jump, and a jump/dive combo. Even though this round does not really require excellent mechanical skill, these can still help marginally in cases where you need to paint/un-paint a stray pixel.
If another player is mindlessly running around the grid, try grabbing them. There is a chance that this player does not understand the round's goal; grabbing may communicate to them that they're doing something wrong.
Final variant[]
A FINAL type variant was introduced in the Pixel Palooza playlist on 22 October 2022. In this variant, every squad who qualifies will win the show.
Many of the same strategies apply to the final variant. The final has a time limit of 1:10, which means that a squad with good players is required in order to qualify. Due to the non-presence of SBMM in this show, it might be difficult for some squads of new players to qualify the two first rounds, unless two squads of good players are matched against each other.
Known bugs[]
- Squads spawn overlap*
- As of Season 2, a bug can occur where multiple squads can spawn inside the same zone. Due to the round configuration, this will likely results into elimination, or, in rare cases, the round timing out.
- Invisible wall climbing*
- During Season 2, should multiple members of a squad gather in a corner and jump atop one another, it was possible to get a player over the invisible wall and onto a separate arena. A player in another arena can disrupt other squads or score points for their team, should they copy the image in an unoccupied arena.
- This bug has been fixed on 18 October 2022, with the height of the wall being increased.
- Inaccurate score system*
- As of June '24 Update, players may need to copy multiple pictures, in the favor of scoring only one point.
- No picture to copy*
- Also as of June '24 Update, there is a bug, where the monitor won't show a picture to copy, making the round impossible to complete. This is due to a squad stealing a point from another squad, as each arena has a maximum of five images to copy.
*This name is a conjectural name and has not been somewhat uniformly agreed upon.

- Gold - First place
- Silver - Top 20% of players in the lobby
- Bronze - Top 50% of players in the lobby
- Pink - Qualified, but outside of the top 50%
- No medal - Eliminated

Trivia[]
- During early development, the level was previously named "Pixel Perfect". Also, the grids for each arena were sized to 10x10 tiles. This was changed for unknown reasons, most likely to decrease the difficulty of the level.
- Pixel Painters, along with
Tip Toe Finale, are currently the only squad-exclusive levels, and has never appeared in Solo Show.
- According to Joe Walsh, the Franchise Design Lead, the reason why Pixel Painters isn't in Solo Show is due to the fact that it could only have a maximum of 8 solo players, which would make it a final, since most players don't enjoy getting a non-final round at this player count.[2]
- Pixel Painters is the first round to have its level type changed.
- When Season 2 started, this level was tagged as a Race round, despite not being a race and fitting more as a Hunt, Logic or Team round. This was most likely a mistake, as it doesn't share the same music as other Season 2 race levels (Space Race, Cosmic Highway and Starchart).
- It has been mentioned for the level to be a Logic type on the official Twitter.[3], and was finally changed in Season 4 for Duos. Weirdly, in Squads it is still tagged as a Race round.
- This has been fixed as of the Winter Update, so Pixel Painters is now a Logic in both Squads and Duos.
- In Squads Show (and previously in Duos Show), this level can appear with 2 squads remaining, essentially making it a final. It will still be classified as a Race level though, and it won't have the special golden Final level background in the loading screen either.
- Much like various other modes, it is possible for ties to result in more squads qualifying than the specified quota, if the last squads to qualify match the final image at the exact same time.
- In the preview screen where players see the level for themselves, you can see a sticker stuck on the screens you copy the design from that states "Banana Water", similarly to the costume named the same way. This label is also found similarly on
Blast Ball and
The Swiveller. However, they are found on screens instead of labels.
- The screens in this level seem to be based on some sort of mechanical drawing toy, given the sliding yellow bar on the bottom.
