Knockout appearing in the Game Selector with the "New Levels" tag after being refreshed a fourth time.

Knockout Refreshes are roundpool rotations that happen every so often in Knockout and Ranked Knockout. The refreshes started in the Fall Forever Update, and they were originally the stand-in for Vaulting until Classic Games were introduced and more levels were unvaulted. The purpose of them are to make the Knockout roundpool 'feel fresh'[1].

The refreshes encompasses both Creative and Classic Levels, with Classic levels being refreshed from the existing Solos levelpool. Creator-made levels used to be featured until the November '24 Update, with the introduction of Creator Spotlight.

During the first and second rotations, Squads and Duos were also affected, but this has since been reverted as of the third rotation.

The first rotation took place in the Fall Forever Update and lasted from 7 May 2024 to 15 May 2024.

During this rotation, all Core Games (that is, Knockout, Squads, and Duos), had the same levelpool.

The second rotation took place in the Fall Forever Update and lasted from 15 May 2024 to 29 May 2024.

From this rotation onward, all Games are now 4 rounds long and Squads and Duos now have a seperate levelpool than Knockout.

Third rotation[]

The third rotation took place in the Fall Forever Update and the June '24 Update and lasted from 29 May 2024 to 23 July 2024.

From this rotation on, alongside the introduction of “Classic Games”, Solos returned to the Game Selector bringing back many unity levels but with no creative levels included, Duos and Squads went back to using a roundpool similar to Solos, with no creative levels and almost all of the unity levels.

Fourth rotation[]

The fourth rotation took place in the July '24 Update and lasted from 23 July 2024 to 3 September 2024.

This was Knockout's first major refresh, replacing almost the entire roundpool, and also bringing multiple changes to all Classic modes.

The following two levels were available during the rotation, but got removed at certain dates:

  • All Classic levels that were in Knockout during the second rotation stayed in Knockout during the third rotation, the only change is that some Classic levels got added, like Blastlantis, Sum Fruit, and Track Attack.
  • Some Solo-exclusive levels got added to Squads and Duos for the first time ever during the first rotation, these being: Hoverboard Heroes, Leading Light, and Tail Tag.
    • Airtime was made available in Squads and Duos as well for the first time since Season 1.
    • They all got removed from Squads and Duos when the second rotation dropped on 15 May 2024.
  • Notably, all but one of the SURVIVAL Creative levels got removed after the second rotation.
    • The one that's still in is BLASTGON.
    • Also notably, only one COURSE Creative level got removed, that one being Heat 'n' Balance.
    • Also, two Creative levels that were previously in the Classic Games, were the only Creative levels to be refreshed in the third rotation, these being the two original Creative levels: ROTATION STATION, and RUTA EN LA SELVA.
  • Lost Temple is only available in Knockout during the third rotation, due to an oversight.
    • It was only in Knockout, because it had been temporarily removed from all Classic games, along with Block Party, Party Promenade, Starchart, and Wall Guys, due to the newer physics making the levels too easy.[2]
      • It eventually got removed from Knockout when the fourth rotation dropped, oddly enough, it is still the fallback level for this mode.
  • Blast Ball, FAN-SIEGE ROTATION, and Kraken Slam all got their round types changed when the second rotation dropped.
  • Knockout included levels that got re-added with that particular refresh, this happend during the first, fourth and eight rotations.
    • For the first rotation Hoopsie Daisy got re-added and was present in the rotation for the first time.
    • Knockout included the following five recently re-added levels in its fourth rotation: Knight Fever, Roll On, Ski Fall, Space Race, and Speed Circuit.
      • Egg Siege also got re-added in this refresh, but because it is a TEAM level, it isn't included in Knockout.
      • And for some reason Party Promenade, Hyperdrive Heroes, and Lost Temple weren't included in the refresh, eventhough they were recently re-added to the Classic rotation. These were probably excluded to keep the same Creative to Classic ratio.
    • Knockout included the following re-added level in its eighth rotation: See Saw.
    • Knockout included the following re-added level in its ninth rotation: Freezy Peak.
  • Block Garden got removed from Knockout during the fourth rotation, because it exceded the Creative budget limit, by using mods.
  • Roll On replaced Pipe Dream in Knockout on 16 August 2024, due to both Pipe Dream, and Party Promenade being vaulted for unknown reasons.
  • There is only one Creative level that was removed at the start of the sixth refresh, while every other Creative level that was present in the fifth refresh stayed. The one level that got removed was Wipeout Waves. However, Wipeout Waves returned to Knockout in the seventh refresh.
    • Big Fans, and Door Dash also got removed from Knockout and Bubble Trouble got introduced to Knockout, but as they are Classic levels, they'll be present in the Classic shows no matter what happens to them in Knockout.
  • Only three rotations had more than 40 levels, being the second, third and sixth rotations.
  • Almost all of the English alphabet has been represented as the starting letter in any featured Creative level, the ones still missing are: Q, U, X, Y, Z
    • If only Mediatonic-made levels are considered, the ones still missing are: A, E, F, H, I, J, K, L, N, O, Q, U, V, X, Y, Z
  • The following unvaulted non-Team/-Squad Classic Levels haven't been present in Knockout yet:
