Gates are obstacles in Fall Guys. They were first introduced in Season 1 (Legacy).

Obstacle description[]

Gates are, as the name suggests, gates. They have stripes and are often presented in rows. Their main function is to go up and down. Players that touch them bounce off of them, so they must time their advances carefully to pass through.

In Fall Guys Creative, Gates are commonly recreated by giving thin blocks physics and moving them up and down via another object linked to a Rotation Controller, as in Slime Saloon.

Gate Crash[]

Gate Crash has gates, in rows, since the game mechanic is based on passing through them when they are down. They appear as a sort of a moving block, which comes up from the ground and then, after a few seconds, goes down (that's when the player can obviously pass). They have a pink and white texture, consisting of some oblique lines. Gates are separated by some static normal walls, which can be dark yellow or have some shades of green.

Short Circuit[]

The round Short Circuit has got some gates going up and down, however these are in the style of Season 4 (Legacy). They appear in the gravity section, so, when in low gravity, they can be jumped over even if they are up.

This player is taking advantage of the low gravity area to jump over a closed gate in Short Circuit.

Speed Circuit[]

The round Speed Circuit has gates arranged in pairs at some locations. These alternate with one another between going up and down, meaning half the path in which they are present will always be blocked. They only become active after a certain amount of time has passed.
