Article titles
Article titles should generally always start out as red links either on one of the Customization lists, or be linked to somewhere on an existing article. Red links from customization lists will automatically create the correct title for articles to prevent any errors from manually doing so.
Editing
When editing, be aware to use templates for consistent stylisation and efficiency.
For example:
Incorrect: Cajun fries is an epic costume in the game.
Correct input: Cajun fries is an {{Rarity|Epic}} costume in {{FG}}.
Result: Cajun fries is an EPIC costume in Fall Guys.
Make sure to always use correct grammar and punctuation. These are key parts to creating a succesful article and should be done to make it as easy as possible for readers to understand.
Spelling
Fall Guys is made by UK developers so the official spelling is British English. For instance, "color" should be "colour".
In-game items should be considered a common noun, with the exception of starting a new sentence. Therefore they should not be capitalized.
Linking
When linking, be aware of the following:
- Underlinking
- Overlinking
When underlinking it can possibly frustrate the reader, due to the fact that there are no links to connect/explain the topic better. Overlinking is when the too many links are present. The same word or phrase may be linked one or two times in an article but if it is linked too many times it leaves the article looking messy and can leave the reader in question, wondering if the links lead to to different articles or not. Please take this into consideration.
Uploading files
When uploading a file, please make sure to upload it with the correct category to prevent files from piling up in Special:UncategorizedFiles. Look for the correct category by comparing your file to existing ones in Category:Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout images and copy it in the summary box in the upload page. (An example of adding a category to the summary box would look like: [[Category:Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout promotional images]])
There should be enough categories to choose from, but if there isn't then feel free to create new ones. Be sure to check for more specific categories within categories first, like in Category:Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout icons.
If you have multiple files and want to upload them all at once, follow these steps:
- Go to the category that those files should be categorized as and click "edit".
- Above the editing section, click the "Mass upload" icon.
- Proceed to upload them from there.
This will automatically add the category to each file and upload them all at the same time.
