The Fall Forever Update,[1] also known as the 10.9 update, was a major update that was released on 7 May 2024. It proceeded the Survival Update and was succeeded by the June '24 Update on 11 June 2024.
This update added many features and objects for Fall Guys Creative, such as Moving Objects that rotate based on an axis of rotation, a new skybox and more changes.
Alongside that, it also added the brand new Explore Mode to the Game Selector (formerly the Show Selector), and a game called Knockout with new ways to refresh games, by retiring from the Vaulting system and limiting rounds up to 4. It also added more Quality-of-Life changes such as Social Wheels to communicate with other players and a Piggybacking mechanic to carry other beans.
The update also made huge adjustments to the bean's physics, changing jump height, acceleration speed, ragdoll recovery speed, and providing more mid-air control. A Landing Target below your bean was also added if you make high jumps which can be turned off in the settings.
The Fame Pass May '24 Fame Pass released alongside this update.
New Levels[ | ]
The following rounds have been added on 7 May 2024 to Knockout:
* FAN-SIEGE ROTATION was a Final level during the first rotation but became a survival soon after.
Levels Returning[ | ]
The following level was previously exclusive to Classic Knockout in Custom Games and during its fourth and fifth appearance in the Power Party and Survival Updates, respectively and has been re-added to all core games in the Fall Forever Update:
Notably, a new POINTS Variant of Hoopsie Daisy has been added. It was formerly in all core shows, then was exclusive to Knockout, due to the TEAM Variant being added to Squads and Duos respectively and then it was replaced by Hoopsie Legends in Knockout.
The following two Creative levels got re-added to Knockout when the third rotation dropped on 29 May 2024:
Levels Removed[ | ]
The following levels were present in their own games in Custom Games and have been removed at the start of the Fall Forever Update:
The following levels were temporarily removed from all Games as of 29 May 2024 due to the new jump physics, even though they were present in the Classic games before the Fall Forever Update[2]:
- Block Party, Lost Temple (still present in Knockout, probably due to an oversight), Party Promenade, Starchart and Wall Guys
Level Pool Changes (Third Rotation Only)[ | ]
To view all the previous refreshes, see Knockout/Rotations
NOTE: The levels in Knockout will be refreshed over time. The levels, for example in the first level pool rotation, will likely be removed in the second rotation (unless it’s a fan favourite). This also is the case for non-creative levels.

Notes[ | ]
1 Both the TEAM and FINAL versions are present.
+ For this level is the POINTS version available as well.
However, the following classic levels are still not present in any core game (or in case of the INVISIBEANS levels, not in Customs):
- Bean Hill Zone, Block Party, Bounce Party, Bubble Trouble, Cosmic Highway, Egg Scramble, Egg Siege, Freezy Peak, Hoarders, Hoop Chute, Hyperdrive Heroes, Knight Fever, Party Promenade, Power Trip, Puzzle Path, Rock 'n' Roll, Roll On, See Saw, Ski Fall, Space Race, Speed Circuit, Starchart, Sweet Thieves, Treat Thieves and Wall Guys
Whichever levels that are not part of the current rotation are supposed to be available in Custom Games, however they are rumored to be removed from the game files, but that isn't confirmed and they still have a chance to come back.
Strangely enough, Hyperdrive Heroes and Freezy Peak are available in Custom Games, despite never being in core games ever since Season 3, these two rounds also don't work, because if you try to load into them, they'll simply kick you back to the lobby screen.
Levels such as Hoarders, Bubble Trouble, Speed Circuit or other long vaulted levels, are yet to be present in custom games other than The Vault (which is not present as of this update). But they could get added back into the game in late summer.[4][2]
Changes to Fall Guys Creative[ | ]
The following additions and changes were made in Creative during the Fall Forever Update:
- Rotation Controllers were added, allowing for specific objects to move and rotate on an axis of rotation, with set speeds and rotation directions.
- Added the new Yatta Yatta music to the Music Selector in the Level Rules.
- Invisible Checkpoint Zones that allow for more decoration possibilities.
- Longer Time Limits in the Level Rules that go up to 30 minutes to accomodate for Explore.
- The Jungle Skybox was added to the Skybox Selector in the Level Rules.
- More Sticker Variants were added to the Sticker Object to allow for more decoration possibilities, such as Water Ripple, Grass and more.
- Maximum Value of Creative Objects increased, such as Slime Floors, Spinning Plates and more.
Miscellaneous Changes[ | ]
- The loading icon has been changed from a rotating faceplate to a running Fall Guy.
- A new loading screen has been added where you can see the cycle of playing Fall Guys.
- In Explore, players can skip a level when they cannot finish it, but players cannot get Fame or Crown Shards.
- Levels made in Creative will now show their thumbnail when players are in the level loading screen.
- Tooltips will now be shown below any thumbnail in the level loading screen.
- Here are some exclusive in-game noun changes as of the Fall Forever Update:
- Shows are now called Games.
- Rounds are now called Levels.
- The Race level type is now called Course.
Notes[ | ]
- This update was announced over one week before its release, with a blog post alongside the announcement.
- This was the longest time for the announcement of an update, beating The Survival Update's one day hiatus.
- This update came out exactly 6 months after the Tool Up Update.
- This is the first update since Tool Up Update, to bring back core levels.
- The first one that was brought back was Hoopsie Daisy, although it had been semi-unvaulted from the Tool Up Update and on, due to being in Classic Knockout.
- Solo-exclusive levels such as Tail Tag and Leading Light got added for the first time to Squads and Duos.
- However, the levels that were in got removed from Squads and Duos on 15 May 2024 as they were not working as intended. this was in favor of putting TEAM levels back in Squads and Duos. However, since they are being fixed, they might be added back some day.
- It's also speculated, that squad-based levels, like Pixel Painters and Tip Toe Finale will make their way to Knockout, if they will stay in all shows. However, due to the issues mentioned above, this will likely not happen.
- Fall Guys Creative Director, Joe Walsh, answered many questions about the Fall Forever Update, some of the answers are:
- Fan Favourite levels in Explore and Knockout modes will likely stay for a longer time between refreshes.
- Piggybacking and Social Wheels will work on all games, including Knockout.
- Survival Levels can appear on Explore as well, with much shorter timers.
- Using a Power-Up will pop the piggybacker off your back.
- Knockout is a mix of original Unity, official Creative, and Community-created rounds.
- You can carry a player using the Bean Ball Power-Up while helping another player.
- Both beans need to agree on a "piggyback", meaning you can't jump on beans and piggyback on them against their will.
- Bean Fort will be featured in Knockout sometime in a future refresh. Joe says "we all love that round".
- Despite the confirmation, the latter never happened.
- After a long time of being unclear, all TEAM rounds returned to Duos.
- There have been some hints of them coming back, but it was unclear. At first, Egg Scramble was added back to Duos in the Summer Breeze Update. Then in the Tool Up Update, two more Team levels were added, being Pegwin Pursuit and Volleyfall, respectively. In the Shapes and Stickers Update, all Team levels' player counts were increased in Duos. In The Survival Update, Duos was added to the "Team Games" section. But as of this update, respectively every Team level is back.
- However, as of 29 May 2024 (likely due to an error), some TEAM levels that were present prior to this date are not currently present. This could be due to the old version of Duos' codes (the ones used prior to Fall Forever Update) were used, and they forgot to add back the Team levels present prior, however nothing is confirmed. As of this date, only Hoopsie Daisy, Pegwin Pursuit and Volleyfall are available in the Show as Team levels, respectively.
- As of this update, the concept of Vaulting has been abandoned and Knockout refreshes have taken its spot.
- On 29 May 2024, Mediatonic announced that vaulted rounds would return starting from late summer and onwards.[4][2]
- Roll On was accidentally re-added to Squads, before being removed once again an hour later in a content update as the round was completely removed from the game files as of this update, and the game always disconnected when this level was selected. The said level was later re-added to all core shows, including Knockout for the duration of the rotation.
- On 6 June 2024, it was announced that 4 of the 5 vaulted TEAM levels would be returning to Squads and Duos during the June '24 Update.
- These 4 are likely to be Egg Scramble, Egg Siege, Hoarders and Power Trip. It's likely, that Rock 'n' Roll will be excluded, due to being affected by the new physics.
- It turned out that Egg Siege was the only one that would stay in the Vault for the time being, the others got re-added to Squads and Duos in the June '24 Update.
- These 4 are likely to be Egg Scramble, Egg Siege, Hoarders and Power Trip. It's likely, that Rock 'n' Roll will be excluded, due to being affected by the new physics.
- Hoopsie Daisy was the only round unvaulted, 6 months after being exclusive to special and Custom Games. A new POINTS variation was introduced on 7 May 2024. It went from being in all core shows, to being exclusive to Knockout, to being only in Customs.
- All previously vaulted levels were originally supposed to be in Custom Games, but are rumored to be removed from the game in a similar way, when they were bugged prior to Season 2.
- This is proved even further, when Volleyfall got removed from Duos and Squads, due to an exploitable bug. Since it was a TEAM level in these shows, it was most likely replaced by another Team level, but Volleyfall is still in Knockout.
- Volleyfall's TEAM version has been readded to both Squads and Duos as of 29 May 2024. The POINTS variation is in Solos and Knockout.
- This update has only had one LTM during the update.
- That LTM being X-Treme Squads.
- This is the first update that didn't have the Kudos Celebration event at the start or during the update, being followed by only the July '24 Update.
