Fall Guys using Emoticons in key art for the Fall Forever Update
Emoticons are one of the customization options available in Fall Guys. They were first introduced in the Fall Forever Update, alongside Phrases.
To use an Emoticon, a player must select it via the Social Wheel shared with Emotes. When used, an Emoticon will appear over the user's head in the form of a speech bubble for a few seconds, and one of multiple voice clips will be heard.
The November '24 Update introduced customization for Emoticons. More were introduced beyond the four default ones, and the Social Wheel can be customized to feature eight or even zero Emoticons.

Trivia[]
- The name for Emoticons is somewhat misleading. Emoticons, by definition, are expressions formed by various combinations of keyboard characters[1]. The correct name would be Emojis[2].
- Prior to the Falloween 2024 Update, the Happy Emoticon was the default option when tapping the trigger for the Emote Social Wheel. This distinction was then given to the Emote at the top of the Social Wheel.
- Emoticons are not currently usable in the lobby, unlike Emotes.
- The icons for Emoticons, as well as Phrases, do not appear over the heads of players on the blue team in INVISIBEANS levels.
- The Fall Feed and voice clips function as normal.
